The Zone Diet is an innovative weight-loss diet based on the correct balance between food and the integration of Omega3.The objective of the Zone Diet is to maintain stable blood sugar levels through a diet low in carbohydrates and calories. To achieve the ideal balance, the theory of Dr. Sears is based on the regulation of two hormones: insulin, secreted by the pancreas, after eating carbohydrates, to regulate blood sugar levels and eicosanoids, the hormones involved in fat metabolism. To stay in an ideal situation of health and slimness, Barry Sears recommends not only regular meals (three meals and two snacks a day), but also a definite relationship between the different molecules of food energy ingested.
