Bach Flower Remedies

Print E-mail

Bach Flower Remedies are a form of alternative treatment based on flower-therapy techniques developed by the British physician, Edward Bach.
Bach discovered that the flowers of certain wild plants had the power to rebalance our altered reaction patterns

which were creating disharmony between the psyche and the ego.

Bach distinguished 38 altered reaction patterns, and divided them into seven groups, which are characterized as: Fear, worry, lack of interest in the present, hyper-sensitivity, uneasiness, desperation, and exaggerated behaviour towards oneself and others.

According to this theory, physical ailments also stem from this disequilibrium: if we treat the underlying disorder, we can also produce an effect on the physical illness. By taking a few drops of the flower “essences” a few times a day, the patient can soon re-establish the equilibrium between emotions and feelings and between his inner being and the outside world.
