Music Therapy

Music Therapy uses music for therapeutic purposes. It has been noticed that sound, and therefore music, has a beneficial impact on human beings and a capacity to influence their emotions.

Music impacts both at a physiological and at an emotional level: it can be a useful therapeutic tool in the treatment of various conditions, like those which are characterized by chronic pain. Listening to music also has a beneficial effect on respiration, heart rhythm, circulation and blood pressure. From the emotional standpoint, music can call up images and stimulate creative responses.

Music therapy involves the vital energy centres in the body (the chakras) which resonate with the energy sources surrounding us, with colours, and with sounds.
The use of sounds, combined with the technique of autogenous training, is a genuine form of therapy, because it helps people to engage more easily with their inner selves.

The use of music therapy has proved efficacious in the realms of Alzheimer’s disease, anaesthesia, dyslexia, mental handicap, child-birth and oncology.
