This method consists of drinking certain mineral waters that the experts have declared to be useful for the functional regeneration of the body.

Depending on the problem diagnosed in the patient (conditions affecting the digestive or the urinary system), the doctor on duty at the spa centre will prepare drinks containing particular spa waters which are then simply given to the patient to drink.

The period the thermal treatment lasts can vary from a few days to a longer stretch of time, depending on the opinion of the expert medical dieticians, who will closely examine the patient before beginning the therapy by mouth.
The initial shock treatment with spa waters must take place in the immediate locality of the thermal springs, to avoid the deterioration of the substances contained in the water gushing from the spring.
